Ben is an Attorney and Counselor at Law at The Harris Law Firm. Ben focuses his practice on dissolution of marriage cases involving complicated financial matters, including tax, trust, pension, and real property issues. Ben manages cases involving significant financial assets and works tirelessly to ensure he places his clients in the best position to meet their goals.
As a certified mediator, Ben approaches cases collaboratively and works to resolve issues outside of court for his clients. Ben has spent countless hours both in family law mediations and with civil claims.
Prior to joining the Harris Law Firm, Ben attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he specialized in Family Law. During school, Ben clerked for Magistrates Michal Lord-Blegen and Karen Hübler at the Denver District Court. Both Magistrates held dedicated Post-Decree dockets which gave Ben invaluable insight into how the court reaches their rulings, as well as practical experience analyzing complex family law issues.
Ben also worked as a Student Attorney at the University of Denver’s Civil Litigation Clinic. He focused his clinical experience on domestic abuse and represented parties in protection order proceedings. He also served as a Guardian Ad Litem and has an involved understanding of how courts evaluate the best interests of the children.
When Ben isn’t at the office, he can be found on the tennis courts or enjoying the local scene.
Ben enjoys spending time with family and friends.
